The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University hosts the LAZICC every fall; the event takes place in Waterloo, not far from Toronto, Canada. Students from twenty leading universities in North America, Europe and Asia participate.

LAZICC provides an opportunity for participants to learn about the role technology plays in the changing business world; workshops in the field of technology are organised to prepare teams even better. Therefore, the two cases will be technology-themed, to both leverage and promote the growing technology community in Waterloo and Canada. In one, students will have 24 hours to research and analyze a current issue before presenting creative and strategic recommendations for businesses. In the other, students have only five hours to prepare for their presentations. Each case is decided in a separate final and therefore has its own winner
