Participating in a case competition means on the one hand transcending your own discipline to make a coherent strategic plan with your team, on the other hand excelling in your own discipline to contribute in detail to the plan. In addition to this intellectual challenge, you will have a continuous character battle within yourself, together with your team and against other teams from – mostly renowned – international universities.
RICA has a worldwide network of case partners, universities that – like Rotterdam – also organise international competitions. For some we have to qualify, but most participations are by invitation. We don’t know exactly which competitions we will participate in every year, but in recent years it has been about at least eight competitions annually. These competitions take place everywhere: in Canada, USA, China, Mexico, Spain, Hungary and many other countries. You can find an overview of competitions that we have participated in here.
Every year RICA makes new choices, based on invitations, quality, timing and the number of teams.
