In March 2025, a team from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences traveled to China to compete in a groundbreaking event. For the first time, the renowned Network of International Business Schools (NIBS) organized a major international case competition in mainland China, in collaboration with Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

Teams from around the world gathered in southwestern China for a week-long battle, tackling complex business challenges, many of which were rooted in the Chinese market context. The competition was intense, with judges flown in from across the globe and various regions of China to carefully assess the proposed solutions.

Four teams made it to the final round, where Rotterdam University secured bronze—an outstanding achievement! This accomplishment, along with the exceptional hospitality of the Chinese hosts, will not soon be forgotten. Both from a business and cultural perspective, the NIBS Worldwide Case Competition 2025 was truly an unforgettable experience
